Inspired by Reggio Emilia's approach, our inquiry and play based learning allows learning to be integrated across all areas; Language and Literacy, Numeracy, Discovery of the World, Social and Emotional, Creative Arts and Physical development. 

 

Teacher's Role: At TinniWeeny, teachers take on the role as a facilitator more than a leader. They allow children to explore in ways that they wish to and provide minimal instructions for them. The teacher have to be creative and provide them with the appropriate materials and resources. The teachers make the classroom accessible, organised and makes accommodation for the children in need. It is important for teachers to encourage children to be independent and proactive so as to develop self-esteem and social competence. Above all, the teacher facilitate the children to problem solve and provide the least stressful environment possible.

Children’s Role: Children are to take charge of their own learning based on their own interests and be active in their own learning experience Children are also viewed as great communicators who use communication as a process of discovery. This could be seen through the asking of questions, through the use of the many types of expressive language forms, and through play.
